Company Description
Wildcards is a one-of-a-kind card game that brings people together, takes them outside, and connects them with nature in a creative and playful way. Wildcards aims to connect Dutch youth between the ages of 16 and 20 with urban nature in their living environment. Although this target group spends time outside, their connection to the outdoor environment is often missing. Young people today spend less time in nature than they do on their screens. This can lead to boredom, passivity, and a limited experience of the outdoors. Wildcards focuses on creating a solution to this issue by providing a low-effort, easy-to-play physical game that encourages young people to be more active and aware of their surroundings. Our vision is a future where nature becomes a natural part of young people’s lives.
Because Wildcards focuses on the connection between youth and nature, it also ensures that the game can be played sustainably in the future. The game is made from FSC-Certified biodegradable materials and produced in sustainable printing houses. Each card also includes a seed in it, ensuring that even when lost in the outdoor environment the youth are still contributing to the nature.
Product Description
Wildcards is a cardgame for young people who already spend time outdoors, but aren't really engaged with nature yet. Through active, social and nature related challenges, players are encouraged to have fun together while exploring their surroundings. Some cards include facts, allowing players to learn about nature and biodiversity in a playful way!
About us
The team behind wildcards: Ace van Trikt, Hidde Fokkema, Marit van Keulen and Tess Mulders. A group of second year Management of the Living Environment student's intent on bringing the youth a fun experience that can connect them further with their surroundings!
