Company Description
THUIS is a sustainability, convenience focused company, where the feeling of home matters. As students we feel that when it comes to balancing eating healthy, and balancing school, work, and our social lives; it can feel like sometimes healthy eating habits tend to be sacrificed. We at THUIS believe that eating a tasty / nutritious meal should not be compromised for the sake of time management. The goal of THUIS is to provide easy to prepare products made from a base of caramelized onions, without the time-consuming aspects of peeling, cutting, and the long process of preparing onions via the correct method.
Furthermore, sustainability is also an important aspect that we believe in, and we strive to make sure that in both the preparation of our product, in addition to future actions can be carried out in a sustainable fashion, as well as creating ideas for future sustainable actions.
Product Description
The products in the THUIS product range consists of - pre-caramelized onions, and a spread using caramelized onions as a base; made shelf-stable with the addition of sugar and citric acid to ensure freshness. These products are packaged in glass jars to convey the appearance of a “homemade” product.
About us
Our group is a very international group with members coming from Ireland, Hungary, Lithuania, Vietnam, and Indonesia. It seemed only natural for us to develop a product using ingredients common to all our cultures. As students of Food technology and International Agri-Trade, it is no surprise that the members of this group have a passion for cooking and perfecting our ideal version of the THUIS range for the business fair.
