Company Description

We are Hugo Peerenboom, Tess Le Large, Greta Gnecchi, Bente Lammertsma and Mathijs Houtman and we are 1st and second years students from International Development Management.

Last month we went to Romania to work out a project proposal for ADR Romania. Our task was to find out what the main problem in our zone (Ungheni and Savesti) was and we had to think about what the possible solutions could be. Due to interviews, we discovered that the constantly broken waterpipes, which led to the leaking of water and the decrease of water quality and quantity is one of the three major findings. The second problem is the infrastructure, which was constantly broken up and not replaced back due to the problems with the waterpipes. The last problem is the lack of funding, which is needed to fund this proposal.

The solution, which was founded, is that we want new long-lasting sustainable waterpipes and develop a new infrastructure. To involve the community in this process, we thought of monthly meetings in the old school (community house) to discuss the number of accidents that happened in that month, which is facilitated by a person from ADR. Due to this approach, we hope to get a clear vision of the problem and therefore get funds for the proposal.
