Water is the foundation of horse health, and Equi Water ensures it’s clean, safe, and accurately measured. The purpose of Equi water is to monitor both the quality and quantity of water consumed by horses, with the goal of improving horse welfare across the country. Detecting abnormalities in water intake levels or water quality, therefore it can play a key role in preventing illness.

This is especially relevant because many horses are given groundwater, which is often not tested for quality. As a result, it may contain harmful substances such as heavy metals, bacteria, or other contaminants. As well as quantity, which is difficult to asses, as the water through is being automatically filled which results in less manual work.

The Equi Water sensor differentiates itself through a combination of multiple features in one portable design.

Product Description 

The Equine Water Quality and Quantity sensor offers insight into a horse’s daily water intake and the current quality of water, by using sensors on existing automatic water troughs. Providing effortless access to data on water intake and quality, as it is connected to an app which displays real-time results.

About us

Janneke Jaspersen is the Chair and Financial Manager, overseeing the overall process, leading meetings, making final decisions, and additionally managing the project’s finances.

Maelynn Stam acts as Planner and Editor/Translator, creating the project timeline, maintaining workflow, and ensuring the report’s consistency and accuracy.

Janette Broekhoff handles Market Research and Content Control, conducting research and providing creative input to support product development.
