Din Vecini, Prieteni is a community-based initiative, meant to connect the older generation
with the younger generation to reduce the loneliness that elderly people experience in
Vadurele and Vaduri, Neamt. Through regular meet-ups and shared activities, the program
aims to strengthen social cohesion and improve well-being. By bringing older and younger
people in contact with each other, stories, knowledge, and norms and values of the past and
present are shared and learned. The program relies on cooperation between the schools,
the local church, and families, making it low-cost and sustainable.
