Company Description

Regional Development Agency (ADR) is a non-profit governmental organization that is crucial to the country's economic expansion and regional development. To enhance the social and economic circumstances in various areas, the organization collaborates closely with local government agencies, corporations, academic institutions, and community organizations. Managing and carrying out programs sponsored by the European Union is one of ADR´s primary duties. Through these initiatives, the organization provides funding for projects related to digitization, social development, infrastructure, innovation, entrepreneurship, and environmental sustainability. In order to guarantee that projects fulfill the requirements and advance regional goals, ADR also offers advice and assistance to groups submitting funding applications. ADR encourages collaboration between public and private stakeholders in addition to managing development funding. The organization helps small and medium-sized businesses become more competitive while promoting innovation, investment, and job development. In order to fulfill local needs and long-term development objectives, ADR also carries out research and creates regional strategies. The organization´s goal is to promote sustainable economic and social development in order to reduce regional inequities and enhance the inhabitants' quality of life. Through its operations, ADR supports the general development and competitiveness of Romania's regions, strengthens communities, and expands job opportunities.

Product Description 

Our projects focus on building a closer bond within the community. To ensure a strong sense of community and a social safety net for elderly and vulnerable people in the municipality.

About us

Our team consists of Donia Saad, Anouk Breman Talamantes, Amber Schekkerman, Sofie Raats, Menno van Meegen and Jarrell Maarschalkerweerd. We are all first year International Development Management students at Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences. Invited by the North East Regional Development Agency (ADR). As part of our course “Just and Resilient Communities" module, we were invited to research factors that influence happiness and well-being in the municipality of Alexandru cel Bun and develop community focused solutions to address identified solutions.
